Inspire 360 is introduced to Stellenbosch on Valentines Day
 
Economical Development Agency, Cause and Anita Roux from Oemf recently started a developmental craft shop and cafe in partnership with Stellenbosch 360, and members of the community were briefed on the project at a Valentines High Tea.  The shop offers a collection of locally produced crafts and bakes as part of a bigger Stellenbosch entrepreneurial development partnership that involves a number of local organizations and role players.  A number of the craft entrepreneurs showed their products and delighted the guests with their skills and creativity.  
 
Cause has been training craft entrepreneurs in the Wineland area for two years, in partnership with Stellenbosch Entreperneur and Enterprise Development (SEED), which is also a funder of the Inspire 360 project.  They now aim to launch another training program for aspiring craft entrepreneurs, together with Stellenbosch 360 that will include crafters from across the greater Stellenbosch region.  This program will be presented at the Stellenbosch 360 centre and crafters are invited to apply for this program at the centre.

The project was initiated by Stellenbosch 360 with British American Tobacco South Africa (BATSA) as its founding sponsor.  "Supporting this initiative is our way of demonstrating our commitment toward the upliftment of communities surrounding our operations based in Stellenbosch." says Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, Lanaine Abrahams.
 
Anita Roux from Oemf is managing the cafe and will be presenting a professional waitering course at the centre, with the aim to equip individuals with the skills needed for hospitality employment
