Plan Your Trip

There is much to see and do in and around Stellenbosch, so plan your trip in advance to avoid any hassles or loss of leisure time.

Check out the average expected weather over the period of your visit. Although we enjoy a year-round mild climate, we lie within a winter rainfall area so expect rain mainly between April and August.

Make sure you are armed with a map of Stellenbosch and the Winelands and our visitor’s guide, which are available at the Stellenbosch 360 office, 36 Market Street.

Stellenbosch is a premium tourist destination and although queuing is not the norm, booking of accommodation and car rental should be done well in advance. Also remember to arrange a shuttle service to and from Cape Town International Airport.

Be sure to pack the appropriate clothing and include a sunhat and sun block. This scenically stunning town and surrounding vineyards, mountains and valleys will entice you to capture your memories on film, so pack a camera!
