Stellenbosch Harvest Festival is a barrel of fun
It's a busy time of year in Stellenbosch as farmers and their teams begin to reap the rewards of their growing season. It's all systems go as grapes get harvested and pressed and the juice gets pumped into fermentation tanks where it will get to work becoming that heavenly nectar we all love so much - Stellenbosch's fine wines.
This is an exciting time to visit the winelands, as many farms celebrate their hard work with harvest festivals, inviting visitors to join in and pick, stomp and sip.
The Harvest Parade on the 24th of February celebrates the start of the harvest season with a parade of farm trucks, tractors and workers in a colourful flotilla. The parade will make it's way through the oak-lined streets to the Stellenbosch Town Hall where the blessing of the harvest will take place.
The event signals the beginning of the Stellenbosch Wine Festival presented by Pick n Pay - a must-attend event for any wine lover!
Muratie Harvest Festival
On the 28th of Februray 2015 Muratie opens up their farm to visitors for a day of fun under their oak trees. There will be grape picking, there will be grape stomping and their will be good fun. Entrance is free and food will be available will purchase. Of course, Muratie's wines and soft drinks will be available too.

Stellenbosch Wine Festival
One of the highlights on the Stellenbosch events calendar, the wine festival will once again bring together the best of what the region has to offer. From 30 January to 1 February, taste to your hearts content at the Coetzenburg grounds.
