Avontuur Estate Restaurant
Family friendly restaurant at the cellar building at Avontuur Estate, just off the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West. In summer the outside terrace overlooking the vineyards and paddocks, is popular and in winter a fireplace and underfloor heating ensures comfort.
The menu includes breakfast options, light meals, starters, main courses and desserts, all paired with Avontuur's award-winning wines.
Firm favourites are the crispy duck, line fish of the day, salmon roses, carpaccio and divine desserts. Light meals include platters, salads and pasta.
Open daily for breakfast and lunch and dinners on Wednesdays and Fridays. In season Saturday evenings are added.
The restaurant is popular with great reviews on Tripadvisor, and after more than a decade in the capable hands of chef-owners Zunia Boucher-Myers and Melanie Paltoglou, bookings are essential.
