One Day Tour

One Day Tour

What not to miss when I'm in Stellenbosch for the day.

The best way to discover historic and unique Stellenbosch is on foot. Meet with a local guide at the Stellenbosch 360 office, 36 Market Street (tours depart at 11h00 and 15h00 daily), or purchase a ‘Stellenbosch on Foot’ map, that is available in Afrikaans, English, German and French, and discover the town at your leisure.

Day 1

Visit the Village Museum in Ryneveld Street and 'Oom Samie se Winkel' in Dorp Street - the oldest general dealer in South Africa. Dorp Street is lined with magnificent oaks and boasts many fine examples of Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian architecture.

Stroll along Church and Andringa streets, where you will find a maze of boutiques and curio and gift shops, interlinking with sidewalk cafés, bistros and restaurants.

Our art galleries are well worth a visit. Historic Stellenbosch boasts small private galleries as well as the Stellenbosch University Art Museum in Ryneveld Street and the Rupert Museum that houses an exceptional collection of South African and international art.

No visit would be complete without a tour and tasting in our scenically splendid winelands. Both half-day and full-day tours are available as well as a hop-on-hop-off service, with regular departures from the Stellenbosch 360 office.
