Asara Wine Estate
True to its name and setting, the glorious Asara estate, uses Nature as its partner not only when producing world-class wines but also with its superb service and diverse range of dining experiences, offering something for everyone.
With a production of approximately 65% red and 35% white wines, led by our flagship Bell Tower Collection, all of our wines are grown, matured and bottled on the estate, with 102ha under vine. Our entire range of wines offers exuberant structure and taste, perfectly balanced with undeniable depth, allowing for a celebration of the senses in the beauty of the Stellenbosch countryside.
Fastidiously run by Danielle Le Roux, Asara’s winemaker, the innovations made to the now larger facility for barrel maturation allow the control of cooling and humidity, which in turn assists a softer handling of the grapes, therefore transforming into the exquisite wines appreciated by all.
The stately cellar, where the enchantment of Asara wines is created, makes its home in the old manor house. In stark contrast to its historic origins, the tradition of the old ways meet the efficiency of the modern method, with both open wooden fermenters from France and contemporary stainless steel ones.
